Sports, kids and stuff

Come to find out that the WB never released Everwood seasons 2-4 on DVD. I am so disappointed! Oh well!

Daniel had a hockey game at 4:10 pm Saturday night against the Chesterfield Falcons. They started off strong in the first 2 periods but had a meltdown in the 3rd losing the game 7-2. Although the kids were disappointed in losing the game, they were all excited about meeting Keith Tachuck. His son plays for the Chesterfield Falcons. Along with Tachuck, other past Blues players that were there, Al McGinnis, Jeff Brown and Kelly Chase.

Dominic and Brenden had a soccer game at 6 pm at Dellwood Recreation Center. Unfortunately they were dominated 13-0. I would like to say that the boys still had a good time, but they didn't. I am very disappointed in the coach, the fact that he put his team in a select level soccer league is just truly unfair to these boys. Our team is very new to soccer and do not have the experience or the skill level to play against these other teams. I will however go out and support my boys, and help them improve in any way I can!

Saturday night Jeremy and I finally got a chance to sit down and relax. We decided to play some cards online. We played Triple Draw 2-7 Lowball and it was a blast. Jeremy is amazing how he reads the other players. He started with $20.00 and walked away from the table with $185.00. This is a very new game for him, so it was pretty exciting to watch him in action!

Sunday my boys had soccer practice from 3-5 pm. Then we went over to Daniel's hockey game in Kirkwood against the Stars. The Hawks played a SOLID game bringing home the WIN! Daniel scored 2 goals, including the game winner leaving the score at 4-3. It was a very exciting game!! It was nice to see the boys go out there with aggression!

Before you know it you will be hearing more about Emily and Madison. Emily will be starting gymnastics on Feb 6 and Madison is still in dance but nothing really new going on in that yet. Her recital will be coming up soon!

Well as you can see it was a sports filled weekend! Glad it is over, however now I am back to work again! This weekend coming up is Daniel's hockey tourney in Indy, so it will once again be another sports filled weekend!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and a Happy Monday!

Blues Hockey

Dad and I went to the hockey game last night, Blues 6 - Columbus 1. The Blues played a very good game, even Brewer didn't look as bad.
I am sad to admit that this was the first Blues game I have attended this season! However mom, dad, Jeremy and I are all going to the game on February 1. Then again to the last game of the season. Hopefully a few in between too!
I do think however that when I get my new jersey I will not be getting a number on it because although trading is part of the game, every time I get a numbered jersey, that player ends up getting traded the very next season. It happened with Dimitra, 38 and then it happened with Drake, 10.

Emily

Emily has decided to turn in her hockey skates to take up gymnastics. She starts on February 6. On Saturday she went to a gymnastics birthday party for her friend Madison and she absolutely loved it! We ended up registering her then! She is very excited, finally something for just Emily!

Ice Hockey

Daniel(10), my stepson, has an ice hockey game tonight against the Meramec Sharks at the Sharktank. Daniel plays forward for the Southern Illinois Ice Hawks AA Squirt team. I hope the boys pull a win out of tonights game, they are having a struggling year up to this point...hopefully they will have a better 2nd half of season! He also has a game tomorrow morning against St. Peters Spirit. Wish them luck! =)

My daughter Madison

Thanks to the wonderful photography of my brother Pete I have found the absolute best picture of my daughter Madison! She is pouty but beautiful! =)

Sweeny Todd

I love the original stage play (musical) and I am really wanting to see the remake by Tim Burton, has anyone seen it at the theaters yet and what did you think of it? Overall I am a Tim Burton fan so I am hoping that I won't be disappointed. Any input would be wonderful!

Thanks.

Soccer

My son's Dominic(10) and Brenden(9)start their indoor soccer season again this coming Saturday. They play for the Orange Crush. They play 2 sessions per year, one indoor and one outdoor. They took 1st place in their fall outdoor season which ended in December. Hopefully they will have a successful indoor season. Their team has stayed together and have improved a lot over the past 2 years. I look forward to watching their first game on Saturday!

Everwood

About 1 year ago Jeremy and I bought the first season of the television series Everwood because everyone always told me it was such a great show. So last night when Jeremy took his son to hockey, I curled up in my bed and watched where we had left off watching when we first bought it. What an amazing show, I LOVED IT!! However was that a mistake on my part, now I am left hanging because I watched the "season finale" to the first season and I don't have the second season yet...what was I thinking???? Now I have to go in search of season 2 and I probably will have to order it online, oh how the suspense is killing me!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy New Year!!

We are currently remodeling our house. Right now we are working on our kitchen and so New Year's Day we spent hanging drywall and installing can lights in our kitchen! Some may say that doesn't sound like very much fun, but it is complete opposite for us. As long as we are doing it together we have a great time, plus there is no better feeling then making progress on our home! I am looking forward to a wonderful 2008 with my new husband and my family!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!
